Barbara assists in a company’s strategic planning, operations, corporate governance, contract review, litigation oversight, employee issues, real estate matters, purchase and sale of businesses and subsidiaries. Barbara's goal is to partner with her clients in a way that helps them achieve their long-term business goals. Barbara graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Chemistry. She spent four years as regulatory counsel for a company that is now Smith-Kline Glaxo, four years as a Prosecutor for the South Coast Air Quality Management District and three years as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Lyons Construction Company in Los Angeles. She sat as a Judge Pro Tem in Los Angeles County and has been an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association in both construction and computer areas. Her published articles include
"Better Not Splash" in Hot Boat Magazine and the legal chapters for the Small Business Encyclopedia published by Entrepreneur Magazine.

Ed is excited to join Alvis Frantz and Associates under the guidance of one of California’s leading business and corporate lawyers. His goal is to provide effective and insightful counseling to entrepreneurs so they can operate their business with confidence. Working in several family owned businesses as a youth fostered a love of entrepreneurship and business. For the past 12 years Ed has worked in a start-up technology company where he witnessed the legal challenges presented to a modern California business. The intersection of law and business motivated him to attend law school and become a lawyer, which he did 2011. Ed is married with two children and has lived in Brentwood and Discovery Bay since 2001. |
